In Cycles
The earth keeps circling the same sun.
We keep muttering the same charades and names.
And the silent cranes in the distance are building up walls for towers that will eventually fall, or be put down to the ground.
And the moon, the moon keeps showing her livid face every night,
cycling her make-up on a 28-day shift.
And we, on a 365-shift,
civil servants of the tireless clockwork,
happy and sad and depressed and ecstatic,
high with preparedness and expectation,
down with euphoria withdraw,
we keep circling the same moods.
Budding every spring anew
Still drenched with cold rain
Bare feet in mild dew
Sun golden as the grain
The dancing dead leaves
Will suspend the breves
And in the coat of the fog
Reopens the travelogue

THE ARMS OF THE NIGHT
At dusk, they were sparse, and scattered through the clouds, shivering with an old time glimmer, a tender spark.
In the arms of the night, she did smile, and we danced, through the mirror of her eyes, there was kind of a pledge.
In the light that was cast by the blonde perfect circle of her face, I made plans, I sketched dreams, oh I built a whole world.
But sleep takes me in, and at dawn, she’s gone.

We've Been There Before Angers, France
Taking a little side trip from Glass and Hungart Thorsen along a more solitary path with this new solo project. Been on this for a while, now. Oldest songs may be three year old. Started this as a folk project and added some noisy hints along.
